Beginning above the Arctic Circle, join us for a series of day sails and overnight passages cruising down the wild Norwegian coastline. We’ll dip in and out of fjords, follow the inner routes or pick up speed out in open sea, and find peaceful anchorages to spend the night.

Look out for sea eagles and whales, try your hand at catching fish, and get to grips with the rocky coastal navigation of this region – where a navigation mark may be as simple as a stick or a splash of paint on a rock… And once we’ve enjoyed our day of tacking and gybing, make the most of the late sunset with dinner on deck and a hike ashore or an Arctic dip.

We’ll sail past the iconic Seven Sisters and Torghatten, the legendary rock with a hole pierced by Hesmannen’s arrow before everything (including the sisters) turned to stone. Our last stop, Alesund, makes a pretty return to civilisation: it’s art nouveau architecture makes wandering the streets a charm, as does the 418 steps up Mount Aksla to a wonderful viewpoint of the entire area.

All meals on board Sea Dragon during this trip are delicious and vegetarian, with the addition of fish if we catch any along the way.

This is not a trip for the infirm or physically unfit – you MUST be able to go up and down the companionway and move safely about the boat while in rough conditions, have good balance, and be in good health.
