The RORC Caribbean 600 is one of the most thrilling offshore sailing races in the world, attracting top sailors and high-performance yachts to the stunning waters of the Caribbean. Organized by the Royal Ocean Racing Club (RORC), the race starts and finishes in Antigua, covering a challenging 600-nautical-mile course that weaves through 11 islands, including Barbuda, Montserrat, Guadeloupe, and St. Marten. Known for its demanding conditions, the race features strong trade winds, shifting currents, and exhilarating downwind legs, making it a true test of skill, endurance, and strategy. The diverse fleet includes everything from cutting-edge maxi yachts and multihulls to classic ocean racers, all vying for victory in this high-stakes offshore challenge.
Beyond the intense competition, the RORC Caribbean 600 offers breathtaking scenery and a unique racing experience unlike any other. Crews navigate through a mix of open ocean and island passages, where towering volcanic peaks, coral-fringed shores, and deep blue waters create a stunning backdrop. The race is as much about endurance as it is about speed, with sailors pushing their limits through non-stop racing that can last several days. The event has become a highlight of the international yachting calendar, drawing elite sailors from around the world while showcasing the Caribbean’s incredible sailing conditions. With its combination of technical difficulty, strategic racing, and natural beauty, the RORC Caribbean 600 remains one of the most prestigious and exciting offshore races in the sport.
