The clip used was of Boyan Slat during our Ocean Clean Up expedition from Bermuda to the Azores in 2013.
The aim of this expedition was to collect data and better understand plastic distribution in the oceanic water column. Through 33 successful deployments of the Multi-Level trawl (a customized aluminum structure with 11 separate nets used for sampling plastic in the water column)we were able to collect substantial data, and determine the vertical distribution of microplastics in the North Atlantic Gyre

On 1 January 2016, the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development — officially came into force. These Goals universally apply to all, in the efforts to end all forms of poverty, fight inequalities and tackle climate change.
This innovative partnership, between CNBC and UBS, campaigns and promotes the necessity for Sustainable Investment and opportunities in line with UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Their campaign Doing Well by Doing Good’ features 17 chapters that coincide with significant 17 UN days throughout the calendar year.
The first piece of content was launched on June 8th to coincide with World Oceans Day.
