Most sailors will appreciate the excitement of hoisting a crispy new sail for the first time! Today we had the perfect conditions to get our new @North Sails staysail out of the bag for a short sail from Prickly Bay, Grenada round the corner to St Georges.

With 20-30 knots from the east, we were able to hoist and set for a great sail. After experimenting with the trim we headed upwind to practice some tacks. All went smoothly and we are happy with the cut of our new sail. As we bore off to head back boat speed increased and we were happily cruising around 10knts back down the waves, it was a
great day for sailing!

Today was a momentous day as it was regular skippers aboard Sea Dragon, Eric and Shanley’s, last sail before they head off for a well-deserved break. It gave the skipper for out next trip, Loes, a great introduction to the boat and how everything worked aboard. We even
practiced a man overboard drill!

It was fantastic to have a new sail on the boat and to have another day of brilliant sailing.
