As the crew of Sea Dragon prepares for our next expedition with the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, we find ourselves needing a little R&R. This has brought us to Virgin Gorda and the Captain’s favorite harbor in the Virgin Island chain. Repaired and replaced equipment needs rigorous testing, and sea legs needed some stretching.
With Thanksgiving on the horizon, we find ourselves thankful for each others company and adventurous spirits. Captain Eric played the role of windsurfing instructor and Shanley, Nichole, and Mitch were all able to navigate the surprisingly difficult process of learning to balance, trim sails and stay on the board as it lurched forward powered by the wind. Spirits are high and crew re-energized for the coming Caribbean expedition.
