As day two draws to a close, the team’s spirits are on the rise. The sea sickness of day one has subsided and appetites have returned. The weather and swells are starting to calm down and we hope to deploy both Team Science! and the trawl tomorrow. We were able to do a visual study of large pieces of plastic today but the trawl will soon bring us the real story. Sea life has been sparse except for the occasional flying fish. As the breeze continues to warm during our trip south, we hope to see more signs of life.
