Offshore Passage | Key West to Dominican Republic
Depart: Key West, Florida
Arrive: Boca Chica, Dominican Republic
Length: 9 days (8 nights)
Focus: Extreme Sailing & Yachtmaster Ocean Qualifying Passage
Enjoy an exhilerating upwind sail through the Atlantic from Key West to the Dominican Republic. This is a fast paced passage aboard ex-ocean racer Sea Dragon, and you will be put to the test as we push the boat fast and hard. Sea Dragon was built to sail upwind in the Southern Ocean, so you’ll get to experience her in her element but with the benefit of warm water and blue skies. This passage qualifies as an RYA Yachtmaster Ocean or IYT MOY Unlimited passage, so crew will be fully involved in the operations of the boat as well as being able to take the requisite celestial sights for their license. If Conditions are good, we might even stop off in the Turks & Caicos for a day!
This trip is a fast paced upwind bash across the Caribbean. Experienced sailors who are looking for a Oceans qualifying passage, or novices looking for an exciting and challenging trip are encouraged to join us.
