Northwestern Africa Sail | Lanzarote-Agadir-Las Palmas

November 3rd – 11th, 2017

Depart: Lanzarote
Arrive: Las Palmas
Length: 9 days, 8 nights
Focus: Adventure Sailing, Upwind and downwind offshore sail training

Join Sea Dragon as this adventure begins in Lanzarote and journeys over 200nm upwind to Morocco. With consistent weather usually in the mid 20°c and sunshine everyday, this is sailing heaven when combined with the perfect sailing winds of Force 3-4 from a prevailing north east trade wind. A great training ground to test your mettle and fine-tune your helming techniques, you will also take part in night watches and, if you wish, practise celestial navigation as  you sail under African stars.

On arrival in Morocco we will explore the souks and streets of Agadir, the capital of Agadir-Ida Ou Tanane province, on Morocco’s southern Atlantic coast. We will enjoy the wide cresent beach, seaside promenade lined with cafes and bars, and visit the remains of Agadir’s hilltop Kasbah.
Then its a turnaround and blast back downwind to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the capital of Gran Canaria; just off northwestern Africa, known for its sandy beaches, coral barriers, carnivals, music and dancing. With great duty free shopping on offer at the end of this trip its the perfect adventure from start to finish.
