Leisure With Purpose | Antigua – St. Barths – St. Martin
Arrive: St. Martin
Length: 7 days, 6 nights
Focus: Adventure with a Purpose
What we do in our 5 to 9 is just as important, if not more important, than our 9 to 5. If like us, you love to swim, surf, paddle, camp and just generally get out & enjoy the great outdoors – then you’ll also know we have to take care of our playground.
If you don’t know where to start, it can be kind of intimidating. So we’re here to help you on your path to a life of leisure with purpose. Whether it’s your everyday lifestyle, your travel or your work – Jen Pate from Love Your Greats and Mitch Taylor from Life of Leisure are teaming up to run a series of unique adventures to help you make sure your life is both fun and meaningful.
On our first adventure, explore the Caribbean with us as we sail between Antigua to St Barth’s and on to St Martin. This unique form of slow travel gives you a whole new perspective on the Ocean and exploring these amazing islands. For the week you will be living on board 72-foot Sea Dragon (pictured above). As part of our crew, you will have the opportunity to learn the basics of navigation, seamanship, knots and sailing – heading home with your IYT International Crew Certificate!
We will snorkel, swim, surf, hike, sunbathe, eat on the beach, visit a deserted island and basically live off-grid for a week together. This is a rare opportunity to try new things, meet like-minded people, explore sustainable living and above all get out of your comfort zone.
We can’t wait to have you on board!
Eric Loss – Skipper
Eric has been Captain on board Sea Dragon since January 2013 and he loves to facilitate the understanding of and connection to the sea for all of those who come on board.
Shanley McEntee – First Mate

Jennifer Pate – Mission Leader
She has been a filmmaker, Mission Coordinator and Mission Leader on a series of international sailing voyages raising awareness of plastic in marine and freshwater environments. She works to promote social and environmental change through her newest initiative Love Your Greats.
Mitch Taylor – Mission Leader
Through his business, Life of Leisure Surf + Social Club, Mitch now works as a creative director and consultant on multiple projects with a variety of partners, to promote and inspire creativity, entrepreneurship, and social innovation.
Chelsea Viau – Guest Crew
Professionally, Chelsea works as a pediatric critical care nurse. She believes this has taught her, that having hope is the best way to deal with life’s challenges.
Her goals for the trip ahead are, to have a great time and learn some new skills! Also, to avoid getting seasick
Dave Allen – Guest Crew
With a Masters degree in 3D design, Dave is passionate about how the merging of sailing and interactive design can promote a new era of virtual sailing and E learning. On this trip, Dave is interested in gathering film footage, photographs and research in a documentary style format, on the effects of micro plastics in our waters and the manta trawling techniques used by Sea Dragon. Something he is interested in implementing into a Virtual reality experience to help raise the awareness of micro plastics in our oceans.
An avid sailor, Dave currently, still sails with his dad, out of Midland Ontario on the Great lakes of Canada, on his dad’s dS2 9.2, which he has had the pleasure to take out on his own. With sailing in his soul, it was only a matter of time before Dave would purchase his first boat, a Beneteau 235 trailer sailor! However joining Sea Dragon realises Dave’s childhood dream of sailing the very yacht he once druelled over, when watching her race in the BT global Challenge.
