Sophie Lewis

Background and area of expertise
I love learning new things, travelling and having adventures. I’m mostly into cycling, hiking, sea kayaking and hopefully after this holiday, sailing! I live in Cambridge and work in science and healthcare.

Goals and aims for the expedition
To meet some lovely people, learn some skills around sailing, build memories and have fun!

Victoria Farrington

My passion is skiing, however this expedition really appealed to me. Sailing and exploring the ocean seem like a natural compliment to the many winters I have spent in the snow. I always enjoy learning new things and am currently studying French language with the OU. I absolutely love cooking, hiking and climbing and generally keeping fit and healthy.

I can’t wait to do something completely out of my comfort zone. This will be entirely different to anything I have done before and I am looking forward to the adventure and meeting lots of fun new people along the way. In addition to exploring a part of the world I have never been to before.

Background and area of expertise
At the age of 47 after 30years working for the same company (not doing the same job all that time!) I decided it was time to start a new chapter of my life. So I took the decision to follow my passion for Photography.

Going out every time to take photos is like a mini adventure and to me,that makes photography exciting.

Goals and aims for the expedition
To meet fantastic people, learn new skills and to inspire other people to get out of their comfort zones and challenge yourself to do something new.
